...Day 6..
Sunday, March 14th, 2004
Prescott to Jerome, AZ and back...

Out into the Chino Valley..

We head east, up into the Mountains...

Where, at 7,000ft, there's still a bit of snow!

Back down the other side of the mountain, we are now overlooking the Verde Valley.

The Town of Jerome is a Ghost Town that was once a Thriving Copper Mine... It is now a hot-spot for Artists, Art and Tourism.

Headed into Jerome...

We discover the Town is packed with Bikers out on their Sunday Ride, as well as curious onlookers soaking in the beauty of this tiny town.

Up at the top of town: Avatar Tattoo, Jerome, AZ

Rick, Avatar's Owner, prepares for work...

The Stencil...

The Work Begins...

I enter "the zone"...

The Outline...

The Work in Progress...

A bit of color...

The Shading isn't nearly as painful as the outlining...

The work progresses swiftly, and about 2 hours later...

I get my first peek!

The Finished Product!
It's a little dark and discolored due to the freshness. Better pictures will be taken in the upcoming days.
It is an original design by Me, expertly shaded and completed by Rick!

A Sample of some of Rick's beautiful Art.. This Lady helped me to focus throughout the two hours under the needle...

AND... we're heading back to Jerome tomorrow!
You'll just have to wait to see why!

As the sun sets spectacularly in the West...
